A Rudolph and Clarice! Some felt on the chest, beads for eyes. Used false eyelashes for Clarice.
These reindeer are getting fancier.....some beads on the antlers look really nice.

Wine cork reindeer. These are so easy to make and any design is possible. You could leave them unpainted. I chose to paint mine with different colors.
Use wooden dowels for the legs and to piece the head to the body. Take a screwdriver and carve a small hole, then use hot glue and shove the dowel in place. You can cut to the length you want beforehand or after. Paint it any color. Do the same with the screwdriver for the antlers.
For antlers I used different plastic branches from flower arrangements but you could just as easily go outside and pick tiny twigs.
Pins for eyes, just cut them down to about a quarter inch or less and push them in. Ribbons and tags can be tied or glued on. Embellish however you like.
Wine cork projects. Tried making a little train. Hot glued the pieces that were cut together and painted them. Added some embellishments and a tag. Turned out ok. Hot glue is tricky to use with cork, it doesn't always stick well. The cork usually has to be cleaned or shaved off a bit to get rid of the outside layer in order to stick better.
A simple plastic dollhouse can be painted and turned into a creepy Halloween house for your mantle!
Sometimes you can find these at Value Village for about bucks.
There is a set of orange string lights glued onto the inside as well as lots of embellishments. Spider web, insects, skeletons, pumpkins etc etc....once the inside was done, the house was permanently glued shut and affixed to a wooden base.
Misc outdoor branches glued to the base to resemble trees. You could do anything to make it look like it's spooky. I like the spider web through the branches.
An extension cord to turn on the lights and voila!

Found these used grape crates on the side of the road, they had old labels on them however they were moldy. So ripped them off, cleaned them, printed out these labels from the internet and mod podged them on. They turned out terrific and the 3 stacked together make a great display item! Gotta love free stuff!!
